Why it matters
Online discoverability for doctors in Pakistan
A clinic's Google Business Profile is tied to a location. It can list multiple practitioners in the 'staff' section, but patient reviews and the primary ranking authority belong to the clinic, not the individual doctors. This means Dr. Zainab and Dr. Omar — both excellent consultants at the same clinic — are sharing one online identity that neither fully owns and that doesn't differentiate them at all.
The solution is a two-layer approach: the clinic maintains its shared profile (location, general services, overall reviews), while each doctor builds their own individual digital layer (personal website, personal directory profiles, individual reviews, personal schema markup). These layers work together — not in competition. A patient who finds the clinic through Google Maps can still be directed to a specific doctor's personal Marham profile to read that doctor's specific reviews and qualifications.
This is especially important in multi-specialty clinics where different doctors have meaningfully different patient bases. A dermatologist and a gynaecologist at the same clinic have entirely different ideal patients — building individual presence for each means each doctor's digital identity is reaching the right people, not diluted in a generic shared clinic profile.
