Pharmacy search behaviour in Pakistan is almost entirely driven by immediate need. Unlike choosing a clinic (where patients research and compare), pharmacy searches are typically impulse or urgent: 'open pharmacy near me', 'where can I find [specific medication] Lahore', '24-hour pharmacy Karachi'. These queries are won by whoever has the most accurate, complete, and locally relevant information online — not by whoever has the biggest marketing budget.
The most common failure of independent pharmacies online is incomplete or incorrect Google Business Profile information. Wrong hours listed (or no hours at all), no photos, no indication of which medications or specialty items are stocked, and no response to reviews.
